Its similar but it also lets you control fan speeds which I dont care
about and also has a smart monitor for your HDs including temps.

The weird thing here is the SMART readings for each HD.

At the bottom it gives a fitness bar graphic.
My Maxtor and WD - the WD was acting flakey when I first got it but is
fine now and it reads 100% like my Maxor in fitness.

My brandnew seagate reads 40% !   Should I be worried about that?
Or is it normal especially if you are using it for the boot disk?

Also the IT8712F temp readings for CPU,  system and theres a third
temp.  Al the temp readings Ive seen for the VNF4 chaintech only
includes two so the 3rd I assume isnt important.  My CPU and system
are real low temps but within the normal range. My third which I
assume isn't relevant , constantly stays at 261 F .

Theres also a strange thing with the Maxtor temp readings instead of
one temp , its gives TWO temps - one is a bit high 109 F the other
lower than the others 90 F .
