question on start up
I am trying to load WIN 98 SE into my buddies PC and for some reason it is not readin the D drive which is his CD/DVD Rom. I booted from the floppy. I just built this for him so I may be missing something. Can someone help? thanks Bacchus wrote:

Does the bios detect the drive correctly? Is it jumpered correctly? Do you have a western digital (or other) drive as the master but it's jumpered as single instead of master (applies only to a drive that has separate single and master jumper settings)? Forget the floppy and boot from the CD.
