Pen Scanners Any Good?
I read them, as notes, and then transfer them to a Word file on the PC for later reference. Has anyone used a pen scanner to do this and did it work well? Did you run into any problems or limitations? What brand and model of pen scanner would you recommend? I'm hoping that a pen scanner would save me a lot time typing notes into the PC. Thanks! - Bob B**@1800-mail.com wrote:

and so far it has been okay. It's tricky to get the feel for using it but once you do it does scan and for me fairly well. I didn't have much luck placing text directly into Word but I have no problems making a txt file that I can open with Notepad or import into Word. I prefer to use my Epson scanner and an OCR program when possible as it's faster for large blocks of text but in cases where the book can't be placed flat or material in a library the pen works.
