Acceptable Temp

Hello,

Could someone plz tell me what an acceptable temperature is for CPU's. I
have an Asus K8V Deluxe, with a Athlon 64 3400+ cpu, currently running at 43
degrees. One of my fans has gone and I'm not sure whether to continue using
the comp until it's replaced.

Providing the fan in question isn't the CPU fan, a CPU temp of 43°C isn't
too warm.

I'm using the same board with a 3000+ and it runs at approx 40degC after
working all day. I notice the default alarm is 72degC in Asusprobe
monitoring software !!
