New chipsets will often require a PCI-Express video card as well. The Abit AS8-3rd Eye might be a board to looks at. Choose the latter for a longer upgrade path. Boards using the Nforce4 chipset have, in general, PCI-Express video. Mainboards built on the VIA K8T800/K8T800 Pro use AGP video. The lesser known K8T890 has PCI-Express video. Most all Athlon64 boards use PC3200 DDR RAM. |
