CF Card reader recognition
OS WinXP SP2 (XP does not require a driver) and it has been working for many months. My ZIO has stopped showing up in Explorer or My Computer yet when I plug and unplug I get the acknowledgment sound. It does appear in Device Manager and under USB devices. I have googled and tried the various drive letter changes (Manage) but these don't stick. Works OK when plugged into my notebook. any thoughts, ta dj I think there is no drive letter assigned to it.
Go to Computer management > Disk Management > Look for your reader there, right click on it and choose change drive letter and path... Tell me if it helps Matt Show quoteHide quote "Time Teamer" <b**@yobtinternet.com> wrote in message news:d29kl3$r9l$1@hercules.btinternet.com... > Zio has decided not to be included in drives > > OS WinXP SP2 (XP does not require a driver) and it has been working for > many > months. > > My ZIO has stopped showing up in Explorer or My Computer yet when I plug > and > unplug I get the acknowledgment sound. I have even left the USB cable disconnected for 24 hours just to let it dump anything untoward. ta dj I would try to delete the partition, recreate a new one and eventually
format it in FAT or FAT32. I've read some reports stating that the partition type could be wrong when formatted with 98 (?)
