Configure MX900 mouse buttons w/o using Logitech bluetooth hub?
notebook, through the 'Dell wireless 350 Bluetooth internal card', managed by the 'Bluetooth Toshiba Stack 3.03.02'. Problem is that I cannot configure all the mouse buttons; this can only be done using the 'Logitech Setpoint'-software, which doesn't recognize my mouse because it only works when you use the Logitech bluetooth hub (which I do not want to use because it's half the weight of my notebook when carrying it around). Logitech says the Setpoint software will run when using "WIDCOMM Bluetooth software BTW 1.4.2.21 or above". - Is the Toshiba stack replaceable and where can I download the Widcomm software? - Are there any other options for me to configure the buttons on my MX900 mouse, running on my laptop? You'd then go into that interface and assign buttons as desired for any not defaulting as you need. It won't give you the indication on remaining (mouse) battery level though. I doubt there are manufucturars who produce drivers for 8-button
bluetooth mice that will correspond with the MX900... do you have any suggestions on which mouse driver from what manufacturer? On 25 Mar 2005 11:48:36 -0800, "Martijn"

Once you have the bluetooth portion working doesn't it emulate a standard mouse in function? If so, wouldn't *any* mouse driver work, all you need to do is merely choose one that supports so many buttons (or at least as many as you "need")? What I mean is, if you haven't tried installing a standard mouse driver yet, try it. For example Logitech Mouseware or MS Intellipoint. So far as 'corresuponds', that's why you'd go into the control panel and change any button assignments as needed. If that doesn't work then I'm out of ideas but if you provide more info it might help others determine some resolution. > > On 25 Mar 2005 11:48:36 -0800, "Martijn" wrote: Indeed, the idea was pretty good. (which only let me configure some basic 3-button mouse functions, as Logitech has other software for their more advanced mice, like the non-functioning Setpoint) and MS Intellipoint (which just didn't recognize the mouse, no matter what I tried). So... here I am... advanced MX900 with no buttons to be configured. Only thing I can think of now is to replace my Toshiba bluetooth stack with the Widcomm, as Logitech says their Setpoint software will run when using "WIDCOMM Bluetooth software BTW 1.4.2.21 or above". Anybody knows how to do this (or does anybody have other ideas)?
