Your demeaning and pissy comments to regular posters is becoming
tiresome. Go suck a dick you wanker!

I too have been helped by Ken Maltby, as have many others on this newsgroup,
and feel the attack on him is totally unwarranted. He offers excellent
advice with plenty of detail and very well written explanations. I've been
active in this newsgroup since March of 2001, and Ken's assistance and
information is among the most concise and accurate I have seen.

As regards DVD Author, those of us who use it a lot find it to be a
refreshing alternative to most of the buggy and confusing authoring programs
on the market. It is fast, intuitive, and mostly capable of doing what is
needed. And Ken Maltby has clearly mastered the way to extend the value of
this program in ways that people like myself have greatly benefited from.

Neither he nor the program he endorses deserves such unfair trashing.

Crosspost much, there "Lionel"?  The divx and photo NGs are
new to me,  must have been one of your regular posters also
crossposting.  "Birds of a feather", I guess.

It is also possible that you are seeing posts from someone using
my name.  Check the source provider in those posts with this one.

If it is me then what ever your regular poster said that I found
disagreement with, was probably wrong, or displayed a pompous
and arrogant attitude.

Probably a part of the "The Pro Way, is The ONLY Way"
crowd.  The "You can't do frame accurate cuts in MPEG,
without causing a horrible degradation of the video quality"
type.  The "If you aren't making a movie for Indie or Sundance;
what you are doing doesn't count, it's only consumer/Hobby
low grade stuff", attitude.  The posters that claim video that
doesn't spend some time as AVI-DV is going to be inferior
to that which does.

As a proponent of the Direct to DVD Compliant MPEG
hardware capture approach, I run into those types quite
often.  As one of the many that just want to save up some
entertainment for later use, not make my own professional
movie, I only need to cut and paste my captures.  The
claim that MPEG editors that can do that, aren't "real"
editors because you can't do crossfades with them, will
continue to be refuted by me.

Luck;

If you don't like someone add them to your ignore list. If you're not a
troll, starting a flame thread across 5 newsgroups doesn't achieve anything.

It achieves something - an immediate PLONK.  Goodbye, cruel world.
