Compatible Memory
I bought a combo with same board and a 900mhz processor). (http://support.gateway.com/support/srt/docs.asp?sn=0022493070). Was wondering about the memory density. It says it comes with 16x8. Would 32x8 modules work with this motherboard? I looked on the site, I know a bit about computers, but memory density issues aren't my strong point. Thanks. Yes it should as that is the chip density.
Check the crucial.com site for compatible memory. They guarantee compatibility. only hold 768mb of ram max, but it can hold 1.5gb, after that I just decided to use another site. The site I'm buying from just listed the 32x8 128mb sticks as compatible and for the 256mb sticks they list the 16x8 as compatible, I thought they were just trying to get me to pay more that's why I asked, guess I was right. Thanks again.
