MSI GeForce 6600GT just blew up!

The computer was in idle not doing anything and the monitor shuts off and I
smell burning! I looked inside and found the fan on the video card stopped.
Sure enough, after I replaced the video card with a spare, the computer
booted up fine. Thankfully it's an easy to replace part, still under
warranty, but DANG! I wonder why it blew up???

No, no, that can't be it.. reading his post reminded me of Leghorn Foghorn,
"Quiet Son!  Do you think I'm talking to hear myself roar?  Now why do you
think the card died, Son?"

It was bad. What's the saying? If it's going to fail it will fail in a
month? Unless it's a Sony, of course. Then it fails one month after the
warranty expires.
