How is that different than every other post on Usenet which includes
a lot of quoted text?

Are you upset to the point that spam has become scary?

I'd say thank you so very much for keeping it alive but the original is
still on the server anyway. At least for those with a decent newsfeed.

Just what makes you think anyone cares or, more to the point, that they're
too stupid to have saved a copy of it if they did?

Others replied to the spam before I did.

I understand that you are frustrated and you need someone to take
out that frustration on, but spam is not holy. I shall reply to spam
whenever I feel like it.

Replying to spam does not propagate anything any more than every
reply on Usenet propagates something (and that includes a lot of
silliness, including your never ending rants), whether or not you
see the original post.

Troll.

Which is irrelevant because none of them are on a holy spam crusade like
you apparently are.

Then why do you treat it like a holy crusade?

I'm not the one replying to every SPAM they can find and if anyone is
"frustrated" it's more likely a self appointed SPAM cop who seems to think
news admins are eagerly scanning 50,000+ newsgroups looking for SPAM cop
messages 'saving' old SPAM for them.

> I shall reply to spam

No one said you couldn't and the question was "Just what makes you think
anyone cares or, more to the point, that they're too stupid to have saved a
copy of it if they did?"... not "please stop."

> Replying to spam does not propagate anything

It propagates the SPAM and keeps it alive. Which you explicitly noted by
saying you repeated it because it was "already removed from the archives."
Aw, what a shame.

> any more than every
> reply on Usenet propagates something

Except that 'something' isn't SPAM nor is the reply to it nothing more than
a repeat to 'save' the original message from the oblivion it so richly
deserves.

The point of my seeing the original post is that it's obviously not 'gone',
as if that would be a problem, like you thought. And if it's not 'gone'
when you mistakenly think it is then maybe, just maybe, your other
assumptions are not entirely correct either.
