What is 32X4 and 64X4 memory?
laymen's terms? For example - if 32X4, what does the 32 represent and what does the 4 represent? Thanks geezer wrote:

For example ->32,768 nibbles, each 4-bits wide = 128K bits http://www.memorysuppliers.com/25pc7ns168pi2.html has: 256MB PC100 7NS 168PIN 32x4 SDRAM Explain please It has to do with the depth(32Mb) vs. width(4)equals
128 Megabits for the memory IC in question. Take a look at this Micron page for 128Mb memory. http://www.micron.com/products/dram/ddrsdram/partlist.aspx?density=128Mb Note it is available in 3 different configurations. Likewise the 256, 512,1Gb ones. Show quoteHide quote "geezer" <w**@willy.com> wrote in message news:rlr631dj25sd5et13eqgqg5l9vg46fvcgp@4ax.com... > On Sat, 12 Mar 2005 17:31:57 -0500, "William W.
