I've done it a few times. It needs care, patience and
dexterity (I don't have much of the last, but I compensate
for it with lots of the first two). And be sure to discharge
yourself first.

Get the smallest pair of needle nose pliers possible, and bend it back very
slowly.  The friction cause by bending the pins back causes heat to build up
extremly quick, so you'r going to have to do it over a few minutes because
heat + metal = broken.  The chance of you breaking one of the pins off is
minimal, but I doubt it will happen. If you cant find a tiny pair of needle
nose pliers, use your finger nail, and push gently.

Nope, the friction created is relatively insignificant and
if it did actually generate significant heat that would be a
GOOD thing as it would make the metal more pliable.  I have
to wonder if you're cluess or just trolling.

Use the tip of a ball point retractor pen. Be very very careful.

Warm it up gently with your hand to help it soften up a little. I have done
this a few times myself.

The tip of a mechanical pencil is usually better (smaller
and longer).

You can try, but they frequently break off.

Yes, it can be done. I use a small plastic rod with a vee notch filed into
the end. Push them gently up till they look straight then compare them on at
least two sides to the non damaged pins. Takes a bit of patience to get them
lined up but it's very doable.

Good Luck
