Any experience with the long kvm cables
up to 50 feet. I am using the 6 feet cables right now, but would like to move the computers to the next room for some peace and quiet. Will I notice any difference in video quality or anything else by using a longer cable with my kvm? Thanks "vm" <ntdu***@hotmail.com> wrote in message I've done this with no problem. I see the kvm cable lengths of >up to 50 feet. I am using the 6 feet cables right now, but would like >to move the computers to the next room for some peace and quiet. Whether you can "notice" the difference depends on the quality of cable, resolution and refresh rate used... in addition to your eyesight and monitor. I would guess that an average person with average monitor would have problems at average refresh rates and average resolution with the average cable, for whatever it's worth. Then again, you mention 50 feet but not exactly how far it's going to the next room... keep cables only as long as necessary. |
