How can I use a KVM for 2 or more monitors?

Can someone tell me how I can use a KVM for 2 or more monitors?

I have 3... but am a bit frustrated that I can't have 2 (or more)
machines running at the same time and being able to switch in between
with the flick of a switch.       : (

I was thinking... you can't do it with a single KVM.
(Or can you?)

BUT... you could do it with more than one KVM?

Any help on how to configure this and the best way to do it would be
appreciated.

Thanks.

If you have monitors dedicated to a specific PC, just plug
the monitor directly into that system foregoing the KVM,
using it only to switch the keyboard and/or mouse.

4-port dual monitor KVMs do exist, but it might not what you are looking
for.
