PCI-Express PSU
Do all PSU's have the 6 pin connectors required for PCI-Express Graphics Cards? I have a Thermaltake W0010 480W PSU and it doesnt seem to have one do PCI Graphics cards actually need this to function fully? or can they get their power from the bord? If someone could point me in the direction of a Particular PSU (preferabley not expensive, mid range you know) that will support PCI-Express Graphics Cards I would much appreciate it I am really wondering that the hell i'm gonna do, I am selling computers with PCI-E graphics cards and dont really wanna be spending £40 and up for PSUs I have been using Hiper 425W Hiper PSU's and occasinally i got the cheapo Q-Tec ones so if someone could point me to PSUs that support PCI-Express and also will not break the bank i would be grateful, I have looked about and there dont seem to be many descriptions with PSUs on the net tha give you the information needed to infrom you if they support PCI-Express GFX cards. Thanks (in advane) christo On Tue, 22 Feb 2005 17:45:15 -0000, "Christo"

And some of the cards dont even use an extra power plug. Many of the 6600GTs dont. and some ATIs. |
