Repairing camcorder

Hi,

I've a Canon Optura 10 camcorder for more than 3 years. Last week
during charging of the battery I pushed the eject button to insert a
tape, the arm did move the cassette holder up, but it did not release
the cassette holder and also wouldn't retract. It stuck in this
position.
I turned it ON and OFF several times, but it didn't work. I left it to
be completely charged and tried again, but it did not move at all. I
pushed it back in, but it will not move any more.
I will appreciate any advice on fixing this problem
