Re: camcorder reviews- should offer comparisons of actual videohttp://www.shopcartusa.com/P_Sony_Handycam_HDR-HC7_HDRHC7/Show_All/#stores That site has the Sony for a ridiculously low price- something must be wrong here..... This isn't a store, but a referral/"shopping" site. I recognize quite a few of them as problems. Given the 5 star ratings for these problem merchants, it means either the website allows merchant padding or, is itself, a scam. Taking, as an example, the low-balling Express Cameras, take a look at the resellerratings review here: http://www.resellerratings.com/store/Express_Cameras Then compare it to a reputable camera dealer like B&H (B&H is universally acknowledged as the gold standard for honest, ethical mail-order cameras): http://www.resellerratings.com/store/B_H_Photo_Video_Pro_Audio If you're going to buy a camera, these are the only three on-line retailers I'd consider: B&H Photo Video Adorama J&R Music World I've dealt extensively with all three -- never a problem with a price, a purchase, shipping or, on those rare occasions when needed, a return. B&H. I had to ship the camera back twice for defects and they were very good about it. One of their reps is active in the 35 mm newsgroup. Getting such good service for expensive items is worth the extra price. In that 35 mm newsgroup there were often discussions about the problem merchants. I'm sure I'll go with B&H or Amazon or another reputable merchant.
