Hi all!

I know next-to-nothing about the difference(s) between broadcast
quality video tape versus other tapes.  Who makes the best "quality
videos" is really what I need to know.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

As far as I know, "broadcast quality video" does not refer to the
blank tape used.    It refers to the quality of the camcorder used,
plus the skill and talent of the camcorder operator and his ability to
get broadcast quality video on tape.    I think any available blank
MiniDV tape is capable of recording broadcast quality video.    Very
few camcorder operators are capable of recording broadcast quality
video.

"BQ" or Broadcast Quality is a grade of video tape used mostly in the
analog tapes such as VHS, S-VHS, Beta and Hi8. It signfied the best
quality tape available and was 2 to 4 times more expensive than
regular 'HQ' or standard grades.
In digital tape, the 'grade' of tape is almost meaningless. No one has
ever claimed to see an actulal or practical  difference in any DV tape.
