We have a large room. max budget around $1300. There is DLP, Plasma and LCD etc .. Which one is better and why ? Walmart, Frys, Best Buy , Circuit City all offering different products, technologies etc. We Don't care about brand and not very particular on fanatastic picture quality. Just want a good reliable TV that gives us best value for the money. That can last 6 years or so. Also any info on TV stands ? what to avoid ? Pls advise. Thanks Linda On May 28, 10:34 am, lindagoldstein***@yahoo.com wrote:

I bought a 32" Viewsonic LCD a year ago for $1000 and I really like it. Prices seem to go down as time passes. DLP refers to a projection TV. There are also LCD projection TV's. Either one will be fine. I doubt there are any 50" or 56" plasma's but if there are they will be way more expensive than $1300. Your choice will be between DLP or LCD. Plasma's will probably have the best picture but they are very expensive and not available in very large sizes. Just be sure to get one that is a HDTV and not HDTV ready. I would say, go look at what is available for $1300. Any of those you mentioned should be fine if you can find one that large for $1300. TV stands are nothing special. Just something that you can fit a TV that size on top of. Pick your TV and then find a stand that will come close to matching it. Don't buy a 52" TV and try to set it on a 17" stand. |
