Hi, is it possible to connect a camera (scart plug) to a TV with
only an
RCA? antenna input?
Camera: standard scart.
TV :  GEC C1405H   (Hitachi NP84CQ board) only input aerial socket?
I dont mind changing anything on the TV its only to be used as a
camera monitor..the scart connector can go as well if not required!
Any suggestions would help..{space is at a premium and old VCR
wont fit in?}
                    with thanks,

It is very easy, with an RF modulator. That will take the AV signal and
transfer it to antenna signal. The problem is that it is quite expensive,
like 18 euros.

Thank you for your reply...Tzortzakakis Dimitrios ,where can I get a
schematic of a Modulator ?
I believe the chassis has an "empty " space on the rear for a multi
pin connector I could try to fit one ! Looks like 7/8 pin round
connector? (old type scart?) TV must be circa 1984/5 ?

You would need to get a schematic of your TV set to find out what the
multi-pin connector is for. If it happens to accept audio and video
signals, you could do what you suggest. However the odds are that the
internal electronics components needed for such a connection are not
present, so soldering in a connector would be of no value.

It is unlikely that you could buy the components to make an RF
modulator as cheaply as you could buy the product itself - not to
mention how hard it might be to make a decent case & power unit for it.

Just go to your local electronics store similar to Radio Shack here in
the US. In fact, I recall seeing a Radio Shack in Paris a few years
ago, so maybe you could even go to a Radio Shack near home. BTW,
modulators run from $US20 to $US60 where I live.

Thanks for your kind reply, I
am waiting on a cct diagram of the TV (on its way), looks physically
as if it's just the "socket" that's missing from the TV board (no
other blank spaces on the pcb)...
Could it be possible to remove the
modulator from the VCR? I have got power supply (stab.) for camera ,
might need "enable " signal too...just a thought?

Good luck, I hope it works well for you. I believe it will!
