??? about color for Sony camcorder

I've got a Sony DCR-TRV350 camcorder, and don't know
how to adjust the color. Sometimes when recording inside
it will be too yellow, but later will look okay using the same
ligth. I'm wondering if in those cases I turn on the camera
and it sets itself to the light?...then later after it's set I turn
up the light screwing it up?...then if it sits idle until it shuts
down, it resets to the new light when I start it up again?
If so, is the only way to control color by turning the camera
off and on and letting it set itself, or is there a way to manually
control it? I couldn't find it in the manual.

The color problems you are experiencing are the result of improper white
balance. White balance compensates for different spectral intensities of
different light sources, e.g. daylight contains more blue, indoor
incandescent light more red, etc.

Most consumer camcorders adjust white balance automatically. It sounds like
your camcorder is a little slow. If you don't want to wait for the
camcorder to figure it out, check and see if your camera allows manual white
balance. Alternatively, it might have white balance presets, e.g. "indoor,"
"bright sun," etc.

Set camera to Auto White Balance (AWB), turn it off and then on. My cameras
do this occasionally too, especially if I set it to indoor light, and then
back to AWB. When I take picture outdoor it is very blue. I have to turn it
off and on. Thais happens to my video and still cameras time to time.
