High & the Mighty

Stephen Rabinowitz

Wondering if & when the John Wayne movie "The High & the Mighty" will be
available on DVD. Don't think it is even available on VHS & no longer shown
on TV. Any ideas why???

I've heard a couple of things:

1.) the Wayne Estate could not settle with the movie company's.

2.) The only prints of the film had bad water damage.

But, There is going to be an official release of the film this year in May:
