Making a DVD Menu
I am using a Panasonic DMR-HS2 DVD recorder to record various teevee episodes and finalize them to DVD-R disks. I usually put 2 one hour shows on a disk and use the Panny menu feature to create a simple text menu for each before I finalize them. I then use DVDShrink to copy the files to my PC hard drive (makes VIDEO_TS folders) and burnatonce to make copies for trading. If I make a full copy from the files on my PC, the copy includes the text menus, making it easier for my trading partners to see what is on the disk and select the episode they want to watch. However, when I make a copy that includes an episode from 2 different series (using DVDShrink reauthor), I lose the menus on the copy. I would like to be able to add menus to these types of copies. I have looked at programs like TPMG and DVDmenu, but these seem to be designed for people who understand how a DVD is made (no help screens etc.). I am looking for an easy-to-learn program that I can use to add menus to the DVD-Rs I am making. Can anyone point to something a novice could use to do this? We have 2 folders each has a single "program" of vob files from a DvdShrink ReAuthor pass. We want to specify a disk title, point to the two sets of files, enter a title for each program, click a single button and a dvd-r pops out the other end. Rob - right, something like that? drc :) Spot on Darrel :-)
